TIW Western Inc. is the leading manufacturer of custom designed heat transfer, processed equipment and heat exchanger products for the oil and gas and utilities industries in North America. Our products include OTSGs and HRSGs, fired heaters and waste heat recovery solutions. We work as a team delivering equipment and service to our clients.
We are currently looking for a Document Control team member to support our growing team in Calgary. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this position is based in our Calgary office. This position maintains accurate project documentation and coordinates the exchange of drawings, vendor submissions and correspondence among project teams, clients, fabricators, vendors and subcontractors
Duties
To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Support the Document Control team with accurate tracking and data entry of project documentation, electronic files, archived jobs and final records.
- Update drawing registrations, drawing and transmittal logs, project correspondence and document control databases.
- Process engineering drawings by logging documents in ACONEX, preparing transmittals and uploading files to client transfer sites.
- Send, receive, distribute, circulate, track and expedite official project documents to, from and within the company.
- Process incoming vendor documents and vendor document returns, and complete internal and external transmittals.
- Coordinate information among clients, fabricators, vendors, subcontractors and staff; follow up on outstanding deliverables.
- Check the quality and completeness of internal engineering drawings and outgoing documents against company and client standards.
- Follow corporate document control procedures and project requirements and provide input on improvements to procedures.
- Organize document control activities and deliverables in the project management plan and monitor their timely delivery.
- Maintain orderly paper and electronic files and manage project and company documents within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Provide administrative support to project teams, including document preparation and data entry.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of document control experience in an engineering or industrial environment.
- Experience with ACONEX and/or an EDMS is an asset

- Postgraduate certificate in Business Administration or related
